The idea #

Holotopos answers a question familiar to anyone responsible for many matters at once: how do I keep sight of the whole without getting lost in inboxes?

The name is the programme #

Holos — the whole. Topos — the place. Holotopos is the place where the whole becomes visible. Not another tool beside the others, but the layer above them: a situational picture that condenses the scattered channels into one image.

A situational picture, not an inbox #

An inbox shows messages in the order they arrive. A situational picture shows the situation: what is open? what is urgent? who is responsible? how much is still outstanding? The difference is that between a stack of paper and a map — both hold the same information, but only one can be taken in at a glance.

The whole at a glance — and in depth #

Holotopos condenses without hiding. At the top level the situation stands in a few numbers. One click leads to the sources, another to the individual case with all its context. So the overview is preserved without the details being lost — you zoom in, instead of clicking through.

Why this works now #

Two things come together. First: the matters are already in digital form — in inboxes, stores, ticket systems. Second: AI can read them, classify them and write a first draft. What was missing was the place where the two meet and a human decides quickly. That is exactly Holotopos.

Thought self-similar. A situational picture can itself be made of situational pictures — one tile opens the next level. Whoever oversees a whole organisation assembles it differently from whoever leads a team. The same idea, arbitrarily deep.
